Trump is angry that no one is showing up to support him in his criminal case, and today only one MAGA protester showed up for the ex-president.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell wrote:
The number of Trump supporters in the courthouse today is down to 1. https://t.co/vRslGAD7l8

Before the trial started today, Trump said: “What’s going on is a disgrace. And that’s interesting outside for great American people who want to come down and protest at the courthouse and protest peacefully. There’s more police here than anyone has ever seen except for blocks. You can’t go near this door and yet you have no one at the university. We have very radical people who want to tear down the colleges and universities.â€
Trump thinks the police are keeping supporters away from his trial, but the reality is that Trump’s supporters don’t seem to care about the trial and are not interested in showing up. Trump’s supporters are both seriously uninformed about the criminal charges he faces, and if they know about them, they don’t care.
Donald Trump thought he could enrage his supporters on his behalf and they would storm the streets. This piece worked in 2020 because his supporters voted in the election and had a stake in the outcome. Trump supporters had nothing to do with the conspiracy to hide information from voters or with the payments to Stormy Daniels.
Trump’s supporters are showing how little they care about this process by not coming to court to protest for the accused.
